Rummu tailings mountain (also Rummu ash mountain) is a tailings mountain in the northwestern part of Harju county in Lääne-Harju municipality.

Its absolute height is nearly 71m and its relative height is nearly 48m.

It was created as a result of limestone mining from the Rummu quarry and consists of a mixture of various limestone fractions.

The area around mountains offers many different activities, there is a beach, a water trampoline, diving and snorkeling, you can eat at a beach cafe.

Vasalemma manor (Wassalem in German) was a knight’s manor in Harju County, Harju-Madis parish. In the Middle Ages, the village of Vasalemma and its surroundings were part of the lands of the Padis monastery. The manor was owned by Thomas von Ramm.

Vasalemma’s beautiful, fully preserved Neo-Gothic mansion was built in 1890-1893 from local dolomite, the so-called Vasalemma marble. An elementary school has been operating since 1919 in a gorgeous English-style manor house with an octagonal stepped tower, stepped windows and tall arched windows.

Padis Monastery was a Cistercian monastery built in Padis in the 14th century, founded by monks from Dynamünde. Padis Monastery is an architectural and historical object of great importance both in Estonia and throughout Northern Europe.

The construction of the Padis monastery went on for more than 200 years with breaks. Around 1250, the Dynamünde monastery built an early Gothic limestone chapel in Padise.

In 1305, the Danish king Erik Menved gave permission for the construction of a magnificent fortified monastery complex, which began to be built in 1317. The establishment of the monastery was probably already planned in the 13th century. The monastery was built near the ancient fortress of Padis of the Estonians.

By 1343, the first or basement floor and part of the walls of the main floor were completed. Then the Jüriöö uprising began and the monastery was burned and 28 monks in the monastery were killed.

The modern Pakri lighthouse was built in the 19th century. Its opening took place on October 1, 1889. The lighthouse is still in use for its intended purpose to this day.

The Pakri lighthouse is equipped with the latest technology. Its lamps are powered by solar energy and controlled by a computer. In addition, the lighthouse can attract the attention of sailors with sound signals during heavy fog.

The distance from the lighthouse to the edge of the cliff is 143 meters. Limestone was used as a building material in its construction. The lighthouse stairs have 275 steps.

Since the establishment of the lighthouse, Pakri has survived several renamings. It was originally called Rogerwiek Lighthouse from the name of the town. Later it was renamed Pakerortsk. The lighthouse got its current name in 1920.

The Pakri lighthouse is open to visitors and functions as a museum and viewing platform. There is a cafe in the vicinity.
